While working on a few machines running Windows 9X and Outlook 98. I have noticed the machines having a problem with not shutting down properly. When I do a Ctrl-Atl-Del I see that mapisp32.exe is not responding. I do a forced End Task on this and everything resumes. I have also noticed that the file begins to hang after I shut down outlook 98. Any idea's on a fix for this would be greatly appreciated as I am at a bit of a loss.

Thanks in advance...

Unless you choose "Exit and Log Off" from the FILE menu, the MAPI Spooler will
stay in memory. This is contrary to the activity of MSMail where - if it were
the only MAPI app, the spooler would close when you clsed mail.

Well slight update on the problem. I have so far attempted both a standard Exit and an Exit and Logoff both with the same outcome. I have also to date attempted to replace the Mapisp32.exe file with a file from a working machine to no avail. Any other ideas?

Thanks...
