Comment:

When I open Office 97 on my computer, I get a message about macros being dangerous and whether or not I want to enable or disable them.

This error comes up on multipe computers.

Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks.

bigben,

Disable macros. YOU DON'T need them enabled.

This is not an error but just a message warning about the hazards of opening unknown macros.

It is perfectly normal to see this. There is nothing wrong with your system.

Yup what dave said is exactly right.
It is perfectly ok to enable macros if you want to use them. They are indeed a powerful tool and very helpful.
