My friend resently show me his Mac Notebook and the slide show software came with the OS. It's just great. The slides came up so smoothly, with fade in, fade out, zoom in, zoom out. The slides slowly moved inside the screen making the show so lifely. All he needed to do was putting the photos into one folder. Win ME has one slide show but comparing with Mac's it's like a kindergarten kid meeting with post grad. Is there a software for window does the same thing or close to it?

Yes, there are many but you will have to search Google and then try tham all to decide which one you like best.
I know nothing about that "slides slowly moved inside the screen" though. I have not seen that anywhere. I guess you should get something for the extra $1,000.
