Its impossible to get the program. Fujitsu won't let you have it. Years ago, Seagate used to have them in their BBS for seagate hdd. Maxtor too. The only way it might work is to get a adaptor and use it to plug your 2.5" HDD into a dektop motherboard. Use CMOS to autodetect HDD type. Then run the LLformat from the bios setup HDD format utility (most motherboard has this function).
Noe that if you HDD already has problems of being detected, it will not work. Don't ever use EZDRIVE or DiskManager - they write allsorts of garbage into your HDD and later if the data is corrupted, you'll never be able to clean up the HDD again. I am experiencing this at the moment. One more thing: when you plugin a HDD into a uptodate motherboard and the bios ha

One more thing: when you plugin a HDD into a uptodate motherboard and the bios haS PROBLEMS detecting it, there is a high chance that the HDD is defective, crashed or Onboard controller unserviceable. Also Hitachi / Fujitsu and Seagate seems to fail more frequently from my experience of usage. Toshiba and IBM are ROCK steady! Thrust me.

hello:
i had a boot sector virus infecting 2 of my Fujitsu 8.4GB drives. when I fdisk & reformat, not all the available (8.4GB) comes back, and I had to redo the above procedure 3 times to again get up to 8.4GB. Still, the sector count is a little off an uncorrupted 8.4GB. I'd love to do a low-level format and it was suggested to use the western digital utility. Should I?
Thanks

Anyone have a valid link for this? Formatting doesn't work (dropped the laptop). Fujitsu's page http://www.fujitsu.ca/technicl/hdfaq.htm#utility says "No. This low level operation is a complicated process and is only performed at the factory".

Annoying, for those of us who know.

Thanks for any assist.

My advice is don't use anything made by western digital.
EzBios installed on my fujitsu drive and it wasn't supposed to. Now it's completely buggered.
It's permanently corrupted the file allocation table.
THANK WESTERN DIGITAL

Hi,
I've had a problem with a Fujitsu HD.
No more boot partition...
Need to format it "low-level".
No tools from Fujitsu, so I used llfutil.exe from Maxtor.
And now my HD is clean and I can install my OS.
Thanks to Maxtor ( my second HD who didn't crash... thanks fujitsu )

My Fujitsu Harddrive wouldn't work after I did the LL Format from Maxtor. I think it has a bad boot sector and there's no way to fix that. I has not read it at higher than 472MB. Even when I enabled LBA mode when LL formatting. It's a Fujitsu MPD3043AT 4.3GB HDD.

It seems that MPE3136AT HDD boot was damaged. This handicap appeared after unsucceful attempt of Win NT 4 Server setup.
So, that the execution of HDD sys becomes impossible.
