I'm trying to remove this virus, I've deleted the registry entrys and I'm attempting to remove the MSKernel32.vbs Win32DLL.vbs LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs from the Windows System directory. It will not let me remove these files, I get the message access denied.
The site I'm getting my info from is http://www.softek.co.uk/sophos/new_ide_files.htm
If anyone has any ideas of what to try or a different site to check out, I would be extremely thankful.

Boot up in DOS mode to delete the files. When you see starting windows hit F8 and select command prompt only. Then delete the files in dos. There is no way to fix the files it damages except restore.
You cannot remove them while in windows because they are currently being used.. TSR You need to reboot the machine in dos mode and locate the files in the windows directoy. They may be read only or system in this case you will need to "attrib" them. This can be done following the below syntax: attrib -h -r -s After that delete away..
