We are currenlty running lotus notes 4.6 and all our datesare in american format how can i change them into british format

From your workspace go to "File"/"Tools"/"User Preferences". Then click the "International" icon. This brings up a small menu of options. Look at the character set selection and see if it has what you need. Changes made in this manner will only effect your desktop.

If the entire network of users needs to be changed you have a much larger issue. The proper country format should have been designated when your first Notes server was installed.

How is a British date format different from an American date anyway?
