Comment:

In Lotus Notes 4.6 (and other versions), if you delete a file from any of the views, ie. inbox, sent etc., the file is completely deleted from all views. Is there a known way to disable this function and only allow the deletion of the file in one of the views?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

To the best of my recollection you cant delete it without deleting it from all views. The best thing to do is move it into another view (folder) that you want to keep.

I think that is pretty standard on most programs, I do believe you can go into preferences though and change it to where all deleted items go into the deleted folder then at the end of the day you can dump it, but I'm not sure about that since I haven't used Notes in about a year.
