Recently my internet explorer (5.0 and 6.0) has been losing its connection to the internet after about an 1 hour of use.I have a cable connection and I recieve dns errors on every site I try to connect to(I pinged the dns servers of my ISP and got a response and everything seemed normal). If I reboot my machine i can connect again but after about an hour I lose the connection again and must reboot it.
does anybody have any idea why this is happening,i recently reinstalled windows 98 but that didn't fix the problem either.

please help :(

thanks

"winipcfg" in the Run menu, release all, renew all, should refresh you IP address which seems to be expiring.

Also after you get going again, go to internet options under the tool menu in IE, connections tab, LAN settings, I believe nothing should be checked, (but you may want to consult your ISP about this)
