Comment:
I Have lost the icon to "shutdown" my Comp. and have visited Mesic and Lozano for their help in making an Icon for "shutdown", but none of these worked It failed to find a Rundell32 in C: I wrote the following into the shortcut " C:\WINDOWS\RUNDELL32.exe shell32,SHExitWindowsEx 1" After I hit "next" I receive an error msg. saying it can't find Rundell in C: drive. Need HELP thanks.. Ken

Are you stating there is no listing on the Start Menu to shut down the computer?

NO, This was an Icon set-up for quick shutdown when I wanted to leave the system.

Recheck your syntax - you have to be spot on. I'm certain there is no such file as rundell32.exe so your error message makes good sense.
rundll32.exe is more like it.

Glad to hear you are now sorted.
I'm quite a fan of "Shut-down" and "Restart" desktop icons. There is also one for "Shut down/restart in DOS". There are variants for XP too although the syntax is totally different.

Hi Derek. Good to see you are still around, I hope the Count is still around also. I've been away for quite some time, so just thought I would drop in and say Hi again. Have a good day all
May the force be with you.

Hi Oldhobo
Well, I did officially depart from this place but find it hard to resist the odd response every now and then (promises promises LOL).
The Count is still about but, like me these days, a bit scarce at times.
