Comment:

I have a PIII450 which is about two years old and recently the floppy drive has stopped working (it still appears in My Computer).
I have tried three different replacements and tried removing it from the Device Manager and re-booting (along with the floppy disc controller) with no luck.
Can anyone suggest something I may be missing ?

I've heard that resetting the Bios with the jumper (or pulling the battery for a while) has sometimes fixed that problem.
