My hard drive crashed and without knowing what i was doing, i used the operating systm disc and inadvertantly erase everything on my hard drive. Any way to get it back?

There are various utils that may help; one that gets decent reports is something like Get My Data Back.
a trawl (google etc.) for:
data recovery
will bring up quite a few; including the one above.
Key item now is NOT to write anything to the drive if you can avoid it...
If by chance you have another working system you could slave the drive in question to it - or via a usb connection; and then install/run a recovery util from that other working system.
Many of the utils allow a freebie limited use or limited recovery option to try before you buy... But whichever you use... FIRST read the manual carefully!
A quick trawl brings me to this site; and I think this is the one to which I referred intially...
http://www.runtime.org/data-recover...
and it can also be run from a bootdsik boot up - BartPE - see a reference to this approach on the web-site

We are always striving to improve this site. Can you tell us why you posted in the Win95/98 forum when you are using Vista and there is a Vista forum? Did you not see the listing for all the forums? Please respond. There is no bad answer.
