Operating System Win 98 using Netscape 4.7. Was directed with help of Earthlink tech to set up new profile and they had me delete old profile. As a result I lost my address book and hundreds of e-mail folders stored on the Netscape Messenger site. Does anyone know of a way I can retrieve these e-mails, addresses and folders?

Unfortunately, you can probably kiss those files goodbye. Especially if your new profile has the same name as your old one did.
Here's something you may want to try (not guaranting it'll work, but it's a guess:
Go into your MS-DOS prompt (start->programs->ms-dos) and use the undelete command to undelete the files (hopefully they haven't been overwritten). How do you undelete the files? I forget exactly, but there is a way to do it :) The filenames you'll be looking for are bookmark.htm
Inbox
Inbox.snm
Sent
Sent.snmAlso, if you make any folders yourself, you'll want to try to undelete them too. For every folder you created you'll have two files to undelete (i.e. if you had a folder named "Foldername"):
Foldername
Foldername.snmBeware of course, that if you can undelete these, they may replace the current mail you have in your mailboxes since you created your new profile!
If the files you undelete get saved in a different directory than your new profile, and you want to save all the newest mail you have, the easiest way to see keep both sets of mail is to create a new profile, and then copy the files you undeleted over the ones in this newest profile.
Hope that might work.
