Reinstalled Win95 onto PC running on NT 4.0 network. Reset all the network information but network logon box does not appear at startup. You have to start up the PC then click on Start and Logoff then the network logon box appears ?????????? Any information on why or how to fix gratefully accepted. PS - also loaded network card drivers again but to no avail. It is an IPEX box.

One thing that came to mind is one that is easily forgotten is the Client for MS network which is above the network card and make sure it is set right to the nt server or domain.

chances are when you logon you have a blank password for one or more of your usernames

click the start button

choose find -> files or folders

in the named box typ in *.pwl

make sure it is looking in your whole hard drive
click find now

delete any files found

empty recycle bin

reboot

when the network logon box appears make sure your username has a password if not it will do the same thing
