LOCK-UPS DUE TO MAXIMIZE AND MINIMIZE

When i push the max.. and Min.. button under win98

the computer freezes
i see it min or maximizing but it has not changed and the mouse pointer disappeared (and it freezes) then i have to reboot

and program that max or min. it self freezes my computer 2

what is wrong with it.

is it my video or sound card

I had the same problem a couple weeks ago, All I had to do was go into control panel, sounds & remove any sound effects from Minimize & Maximize.
This worked for me, I hope it works for you!
