Hi: I wonder how get the 256 colours to my monitor. I just get 2 and 16 colours; I have installed win982ed and the monitor is a Fujitsu. It must be a way. Someone know it? Thank. Condarco

This gets asked 'bout every day, although you'll likely be able to set it at more than a mere 256.
Monitor is irrelevant - if the display adapter is integrated, check your computer make & model at the manufacturer's site for driver downloads, or else get Everest as indicated in this recent post

... and where does this 256 colours come from. 256 colours was obsolete about eight years ago. It went out when SVGA came in. 64,000 is the minimum standard these days.

Sure - 256 colours was pretty impressive, ages ago, but if the adapter has 1 or more Mb of VRAM (and likely it does) - why stop there?
