Well apart from what google has to offer I can't think of any in particular.
If you want to read then visit your libary. There will be a range of useful books - about; howtos; and step by step type books available if you have an up to date libary.
Other than that - invest in a hard drive, a hard drive swap cradle and a copy of Mandrake 10 (one of the better distros that will let newbies find their feet)
