I tried installing the ATI 7000 video card (PCI slot) and after I attempted installation, I got to a point where it was asking for my Win 98 CD. I didn't have that, so I took the card out and just decided to not install it until after I had everything I needed together. After I took the card out I turned my computer back on and on my desktop (win 98) the icons were big and the color distorted. I then went to the settings and the screen size had been put on the lowest and the color was 16 colors. I tried to change it back to 600x800 and 256 colors, like it was supposed to be and restarted the computer, but it kept going back to the original lowest setting it could get...I made sure to hit apply and nothing is helping...any ideas on what I can do?

What happened is that the ATI setup program had already replaced the driver for the video card or onboard video that you were using before trying to replace it with the ATI card. Go into the Windows Device Manager and under display adapters delete what ever appears there, It will probably be ATI 7000 with a yellow exclamation mark icon. Close the device manager and reboot when promted. When Windows restarts the video will be detected and you can load the driver.
