Yes,this is what shows up at startup..
Windows protection error,You need to restart your computer.. You can't get into bios or safe mode. it is like it frozen.. Any Ideas...

As to you BIOS issue possibly the BIOS battery has died and reverted back to default settings ?

Yes, Not being able to get into anything, it is pretty hard to diagnose the problem. I have tried a boot disk / f8 and tried to get into the bios.. No luck, That error is the only thing that pops up,then it freezes..
I was thinking of taking it apart to try and reset the bios by removing the battery ...

problem fix,by removing the bios batteries and waiting for about 10 minutes, I was able to get it back up and working...

It kinda had to be something like that because you should be able to get to BIOS even if Windows is screwed.

Keep an eye on the time/date. If it starts slipping (or you hit this problem again) replace the CMOS battery. They are usually very cheap.
