ive just been given a laptop toshiba t8000 to have look at, the problem with it is,it won't boot up, it gets as far as the toshiba on screen display and then all i get is a flashing cursor no keys have any effect, i cant seem to get into the bios. is there any way i can check if the hdd is corrupt. there seems to be slight hdd activity (sounds seem to be coming from it) but bugger all else. can anyone throw some ideas this way.
