laptop freezes when running spybot s & d

When I run search and destroy with spybot my screen freezes then begins to cloud up around the edges and continues to do this until the entire screen is clouded. Everytime my spybot S & D reaches file "FakeAlert.mhg" is does this. Any advise???? Thanks.....

This is the W95/98 forum, post this on XP if that's what you are using.
