Hi!
I have recently connected two computers in my office together over a local area network. Naturally, new protocols like TCP/IP, Netbeui, .. were loaded on them before. But after this, the computers are having trouble while on the internet. They make the dial-up connection normally but no data transfer occurs during the connection. What is the problem?
Thanks.

What can you do to protect yourself?
There is no better defense than knowledge. Acquiring the knowledge you need to defend yourself
against the bad guys on the Internet will not be instantaneous, but, thanks to this web site
. . . at least it's free!
Networking security .

sounds like you have the tcp/ip protocol bound to your NIC and not your modem. Check your properties in Network Neighborhood.
