Keyboard not responding on laptop

I have a Toshiba laptop whose keyboard is mistyping - specifically the 3, e, d and c keys. And it seems that it has been remapped because if I hit certain keys like the m key it carries out a function that seems to have been assigned to it. How do I reset the keyboard back to it's default status?

I would suggest that the BEER trickled right down the 3,e,d,c keys and may now be laying under the spacebar. Find a good "How-to clean my keyboard" site and post back.
