Hey folks. What does one do about a stuck key on your keyboard? The #6 on my keypad is kind of stiff and crunchy (can I say that??) and gets stuck down leaving me with a line of 6's until I pry it back up. Any ideas? Thanks.

just pop the 6 key off with a butter knif or something flat. clean the rubber boot with warm water and replace. if that don't work, you need to get a new one. I just got a wireless keyboard from comp usa with shortcut keys for $30.00 because I spilt beer all over my keyboard and it wasn't worth trying to clean out.

some don't have the rubber boot. in that case you can use a que-tip with rubbing alcohol to clean under the key.

I think I'll give up my computer and go back to something simpler like making mud-pies.

now wasn't poping off the key a lot cheaper and easier then buying a new keyboard? But if you spill your beer in the keyboard and it stops working and you open up the keyboard to find fried contacts then you pitch the board.
I also hate keyboards with shortcut buttons that weigh a ton, give me a 101 key keyboard, that's all I need

Well, there's no beer near my keyboard. Apparently Vic is the one with the Ale/Computing issues. I am just the one who, it would seem, never cleans house and allows dust and crap to pile up in my keyboard... but see how well my "six" works now: 6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6 - a thing of beauty really.
