Help and more help..

Something is definitely wrong here. I continue to get a "Keyboard is locked out - Unlock the Key" error all the time.
I have, however, turned the key in the front of the case, but to no avail.
ALSO, I have disconnected the keylock cable from on the motherboard as well, and will the same message.
I am very technically skilled, but just can't think of why this doesn't work.

Can anyone give you another suggestion. I did have it up and running today, but then I reboot and the error comes up, so I think there is a short in the keylock, and I can't switch it off..

Give us some history on the system. Has it alwasy been this way. Id this a new system.

Have you tried another keyboard. Have you tried disconnectinf all cables (the ones like the keyboard lock one) fromthe mother board. You may have another led cable or soemthing going to the keylock pins on the mo bo. I know I just did when I built my last system.

Let us know...

Try disconnecting the cable as you did before and replace it with a jumper, the system may be looking for a completed circuit instead of an open one, in any case it cant hurt anything to try.

Thanks for replying all..

It seemed to be a bad motherboard and when I physically pushed down on the keyboard connector on the motherboard, the keyboard worked, but when left alone, it didn't.
Maybe a short somewhere I found, so I found a spare motherboard and swapped everything and it's working.
Just a bad motherboard I guess..
