Hi, I really hope someone can help me..i cannot find the answer anywhere to these two problems.
First up, I keep getting the following kernel.dll error message when I close Internet Explorer or Greenbrowser or some other programs too it is always exactly the same error:
GREENBROWSER/Iexplore/etc/etc caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 01a7:bff7b9a6.

Anyone help me on that please..?
The second one:
I keep geting the following error whenever I close anything that seems to be using javaw.exe but sometimes this has also happened on closing the browser too(!?) it is always the same error message as follows:
DDHELP caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:b00dcf92.I then have no option but to terminate the process!
I have no idea what has caused this to happen.
The most I think I have learned is that this could very well be related to video memory/ video card drivers.
Please, if you can help let me know!!
Thanks
Paul.

Stop The 'War'.

For your KERNEL32.dll issue, you could try the following.

For DDHELP.EXE, yes, M$ has a grudge with video drivers a lot. Have you upgraded them per their "suggestions"? What version of WMP are you using? What vid card and drivers? Have other applications broke if video drivers were upgraded (seemed to happen with older ATI drivers a lot)?

HTH and good luck.

Thanks for the reply mate.
Its funny you mention ATI because.....guess what company makes my videocard driver?
:)
The thing is, there are SO MANY different options of driver for me as my videocard is old and is a RADEON 7000 series. On the ATI site, I have quite a choice. I dont use the latest one as it gave me issues before that were only resolved by going back to an older one. I do know that when I last reinstalled windows (happens every few weeks sometimes!) I got a slightly newer version driver. So maybe I just need to try out a few of them until something changes!
I have just tried the other solution you gave and after a reboot, Ill know if the PWL thing has worked. Thanks again.
Maybe I will have to give into my stubborn-ness and upgrae to XP one day.
grrr not likely :)PaulGeaF

"Maybe I will have to give into my stubborn-ness and upgrae to XP one day.
grrr not likely :)"Yep, same here. To the word.
I have the predecessor to your 7000, the Radeon PCI with 32MB. I stick with the original drivers as well. I found they typically work better than the upgrades. Especially with some older SW, from my past experiences with an old Rage Pro card.
What version of Media Player are you running? There's probably a work-around if you downgrade back to 6.x or 7.x, depending on what audio/video format you need it for. Unless you have it installed for the latest version and looks. Did you install WinAmp/RealPrayer or such recently?
