Kernel32.Dll crashes can be caused by several different things. Please proceed with the steps below one by one. If the problem still occurs after the first section, proceed to the next.

02. Double-click the Control Panel icon.
03. Double-click the Internet icon.
04. Check the box next to Browse in a new processin the Browsing area.
05. Click the OK button.
06. Close all windows.
07. Go to the Windows Desktop.
08. Double-click the My Computer icon.
09. Double-click the (C:) icon.
10. Double-click the Program Files folder.
11. Double-click the EarthLink folder.
12. Double-click the FastLane folder.
13. Open ARMcfg32.
14. Uncheck the box next to Enable Dialup Monitor.
15. Click the OK button.
16. Close all windows. Try running Internet Explorer again.

If you continue to have any problems, you should try running the Internet Explorer 5 Repair Tool. You can start the Repair Tool by following these steps:

01. Click the Start menu, move to Settings, and choose Control Panel.
02. Double click Add/Remove Programs.
03. Highlight Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools.
04. Click Add/Remove.
05. Select Repair Internet Explorer.
06. Click OK.

03. Double-click the Internet icon.
04. Click on the Advanced tab.
05. Uncheck the box next to Java JIT compiler enabled.
06. Click the OK button. Once you have completed, this, try running Internet Explorer again.

If you are still having problems, you may need to update your browser to 128 bit encryption. Try doing the following:

01. Open the Internet Explorer browser.
02. Click on Help.
03. Click on About Internet Explorer.
04. This window will show you your current browser encryption level.
05. Click on the Update Information link.
06. This will take you to the Microsoft web site where you will be directed to download and install the High Encryption Pack.

There may be a DLL located file on the desktop. If this happens, it can cause KERNEL32.DLL errors. To unhide the DLL files:

01. Double-click on My Computer.
02. Click View.
03. Choose Options.
04. Select the View tab.
05. Check Show All Files.
06. Click OK.

To rename a file on the Desktop:

01. Highlight the DLL file on the Desktop.
02. Use the right mouse button to click the file.
03. Select Rename.
04. Rename the file to .OLD, and then press ENTER.

If you do not want to rename the file, you can move the file to a different place on your computer. Do this by dragging the file from the Desktop to a folder on your hard disk in My Computer or Windows Explorer.
