Problem with Windows Update not installing / repeating KB837009 update:
The problem is an updated dll 6.00.2800.1441 inetcomm.dll. The version needed for a correct install is 6.00.2800.1409. Email me a request for this file if you cant find. Hope this helps.

I can confirm update 837009 contains version 6.00.2800.1409 of Inetcomm.dll for ie 6.00 SP1, question remains where did you get version 6.00.2800.1441? Let me guess - Unofficial patch?

I have a pair of twin machines. One had the problem, the other didn't. I have no idea where the rogue innet file came from. I do not use unofficial patches. Your guess would be as good as mine.
