I know somebody who has a computer which is a 486DX and every time he tries to start JUNO WEB it reboots the computer.
Now, I have a little theory on what possibly might be going with his computer when it reboots...1st of all at some point when installing some software you have to have the computer reboot for it to be recognized by the computer. (One thing I know is that a program that is being added to the computer will have a SET=line added to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file). One way or the other the computer doesn't seam to always recognize that the full program-JUNO-has been loaded or more than likely there is a conflict with another program that is executed when the computer reboots...as an example a TSR or utility within the swap file of the hard drive...which could also be loaded by the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. It's obvious it is the ORDER of programs or TSRs or utilities that are loaded with my computer that is a definite factor cause when I press F5 to have it boot into Safe Mode, click into Juno Web and then reboot the computer in Normal Mode and then click into it, it will have messages on missing temp files however, it will then connect...this is after it didn't work by just clicking into it the first time. My friend has a 486DX computer and I have a K62 400 MegaHertz computer. My question is...for Windows 95, 486DX computer is this what could be going on where all that has to be done is just rebooting in Safe Mode 1st, clicking into the program and then rebooting in Normal and then clicking into the program again?
