Hi
I have lost my jpg icon. Whenever I tried to view any jpg files, I'm unable to open it. All my jpg files turned to the usual microsoft (windows) icon. I tried reinstalling windows but couldn't get my jpg icon back. It all started when my brother (currently learning computer) meddle with the registry.

Prior to this, what software were you using to view jpg files--IE, etc.?

Hopefully, you have Win98 in that PC and your brother has not done too many changes to the Registry blocking it from saving backup copies of Good Registrey files for a maximum of 5 calender dates in which Windows has started properly even if he has failed top make a Backup copy befeore he 'meddled'with it:-)
You may try a Scanreg /restore in MS DOS Mode and Restore a Registry to a date before the date your brother made the changes.
