I am confused about jpg inage files. I have photoshop 5.5 and micrografx picture publisher 6.0. If I make any changes at all to an image in photoshop, when I try to open it in picture publisher I get a message- file type not supported on open. The file is still a jpg file. If I make changes to the image in picture publisher, I can open it in photoshop. I'm very puzzled about this because the image always remaines a jpg file. I like various features of both programs and would like to use both programs to modify some pictures. Any help would be greatly appreceated. Thanks in advance, Bill

Are .jpg files listed in the "Formats" section in the picture publisher settings?

Maybe there's a bug in PP6. I don't have any problems with PP7. What you could try is a PS plugin called HVSJpeg (also works with PP). This exports jpeg files from PS and may make a difference. You can find it on the net in various places. Do a search on Google.

Are you sure you're not saving it as a "jpg 2000" type file? There is a large difference between jpg and jpg 2000 and not all graphics programs can read them.
