what kind of joystick is it? 4.vxd sounds kinda strange. drivers are usually called something like vjoyd.vxd (Virtual JOYstick Driver) are you getting an error message that refers to 4.vxd?

Joystick interface is the PSX to USB interface when i bring the driver details up for the non gameport interface it says the 4.vxd file is not there. Also the USB root hub is disabled in the device manager
