hi all,

my AVG scanner has detected a virus called: I-Worm/Nimda.E
the location is:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LOAD.exe

I get this message as soon as windows opens and the desktop appears. I get given the option to enable acccess, disable access, or to heal but no matter what option i choose my computer freezes.it goes back to the desktop image but the colours are all distorted and it completely freezes and doesnt allow be to press any thing.i have tried choosing different options but the same thing happens. any help would be appreciated (PS I dont know alot about computers so pls tell me EXACTLY what i need to do)thanx!

Did you spot that there is a Secuirty & Virus forum top left? They would be best at this sort of thing.

Out of curiosity I typed your virus name in Google. The first hit was this:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.nimda.e@mm.html

There is a Removal tool further down the page. I'm no virus expert but I would suggest that a removal tool is the best thing to try as first stab.
