Its not a SCSI Zip drive, Its IDE!

Its not a SCSI, its IDE, and i got it working now, BUT.... if i load the iomega tools on it then it wont work again. Another problem im having is on windows bootup, it restarts or goes directly to the shutdown screen. This is happening VERY often, ive checked my autoexec.bat and the startup folder and nothing in there is causing it, also checked the power supply, not that either.

With windows 98 Dos drivers are obsolete as well as the config.sys and autoexec.bat that loads them. Try to find the windows drivers. Back up the dos drivers-just in case.

Check your Bios, it might have it listed as a SCSI in the Auto-Detect HDD and if so change to 'none' or 'not installed' or what ever and see what happens. Of course your BIOS might not list SCSI's anyway but check around. Are the jumpers correct?.

yes the jumpers are all correct, and no its no in my BIOS, It only screws up when I install the Iomega Software that came with it, thanks for working with me so far, I hope you can help me fix my problems!
