Is there any way to transfer emails

Hi All,

one of my user is using microsoft outlook for emails.i need to take backup of all emails and address books.i know how to take back up on microsoft outlook express.i have tries to backup microsoft outlook emails but i am failed.Is there any way to transfer emails from microsoft outlook to outlook express?Pls give me the link if u know...All kids of help are highly appreciated.

yes, try exporting files from msoutlook, also import files with outlook express directly

To back up in outlook just export to a PST. Or make a copy of the current PST.

pfbackup is available from Microsoft. You can configure the backup file location to whatever you want.

and if all of the above fails just send all your mails to your yahoo or whatever you feel like using and when everything worx smooth send them back to your outlook or the other.

Export your e-mail and Contacts information
===========================================
1. Fire up Outlook
2. Select top level (outlook today)
3. Click on "File" option and select "Import and Export"
4. Select "Export to a file" option and Click Next
5. Select Personal Folder File (.pst)
6. Tick the include subfolders" option and Click Next
7. Click on Browse and navigate to wherever you want to save the exported file to
8. Enter the filename you wish to use - I use a date format (e.g. 20051001-outlook.pst)
9. Click on finish
10. On the next window select your preferred encryption level and set up a password if required
11. Click OK, your outlook data will be backed up to your specified file.

Export your e-mail accounts information
=======================================
12. Click on "Tools" option and select "Accounts"
13. Select each e-mail account in turn and Click on Export
14. Navigate to your backup directory and save it to an ".iaf" file
15. Repeat for any other e-mail accounts you have.

Sorry due to cut and paste error, the import sequence is wrong. Here is the correct sequence:

Import your e-mail and Contacts information
===========================================
1. Fire up Outlook

5. Select Personal Folder File (.pst)
6. Tick the include subfolders" option and Click Next

8. Click on finish and your outlook data will be restored from the selected file

10. Click on "Tools" option and select "Accounts"
11. Click on Import and Select each e-mail account in turn
12. Navigate to your backup directory and Select each e-mail account in turn
13. Repeat for any other e-mail accounts you have.
