My firewall detect sometimes an ip trying to connect to my ics.exe (Internet Connection Sharing)
This ip is 10.110.0.1
I want to know from where this try come...
It's someone trying to invade my computer?
I ping it and the result is 15 or 40 or 120 or 220...
I use a cable modem
Windows 98
I am a small lan server (I and two other computers)
To share the connection i use internet connection share
I have two network adapters, one for cable and other for hub that others computers connect with.
The adress of the adapter connected with the lan is 192.168.0.1
Can this ip come from the tv company that provide the cable? I phoned to my internet provider and they don't know.
Firewall show: Remote adress: 10.110.0.1 Local adress: 0.0.0.0And my connection is breaking sometimes... It come back in 20 seconds, but the problem is that i'm playing online chess and connection breaks and i lose the game...
Can it be because i'm blocking that ip? (My connection don't breaks on same time that i block it)Please, help-me...
Thank you

the IP adress 10.?.?.? can not come from the internet. any adress that starts with 10. is not routed through a router.

The 192.168.0.1 address is actually built into the router. My mother has a LinkSys DSL/cable modem router combo and in the instructions it says routers are assigned an internal address 192.168.0.xxx and this address does not go onto the internet. Is an internal address only. It is designed so companies with intranets can let employees access the internet via a single internet connection, DSL, cable, etc.
