I am trying to set up a system which traces an e-mail from one user across the network to another using IP addresses.I need to be able to trace the mail on a display which I will set up using Java...Any ideas...

hope i can help so do listen up: tracing someone's IP address when you are not an ISP is illigal therefor dangerous and buying a lisenced software that would do that would cost you much more than you can afford to pay. BUT you can try looking for something like that in very illigal hackers' sites. try your luck searching for them with the "google" search engine at: "http://www.google.com/search" if you get lucky and find it please e-mail me and tell me where it was. most people hide behind a proxy server or firewall - so you won't be able to find them or harm their data...good luck
