windows98 corrupted,was told to re-install windows98 are formatting c:drive.went to dos via pressing 'ctrl'at boot up,and formatted c:drive.tried to reboot windows with windows98 start up disk but get message'invalid system disk.replace the disk and press any key' please help,anyone.

ok, either u have a win98 boot disk that doesnt work, or more likely your computer is configured to boot of harddisk first rather than floppy, heres what u do. When your system starts up, u should get the option to press F2 within seconds of turning the computer on, do that, then select primary boot device as Floppy disk, then CD rom, then Hard Drive.. Now your computer should be able to boot from the floppy... good luck

your start up disk is no good create a new one from any 98 computer. (my computer-control panel-add/remove programs-stertup disk-create disk)
