Weird problem with friend's PC.
Error message:
Windows 98 caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff8ac13.
The problem happens most often after a period of inactivity while connected to the internet and also when the screen saver has been active for a while. I suspected that a worm may be involved but the latest NAV with all updates detects nothing. I did notice that the date stamp of wsock32.dll is 29/11/00 not 23/4/99 as it is on other PCs that I have looked at (file size is the same). Help pages on the 'net send me off in all sorts of directions but none of the fixes work. can anyone help?
