When opening Paint in Win98,I always get the error message "mspaint caused an invaid page fault in module mfc42.dll".Any suggestions!

When I use Win98 explorer to look at a CDRW disk I get error message

"Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module mfc42.dll at 01f:5f404803"

This is my error:
MSPAINT caused an invalid page fault in
module MFC42.DLL at 015f:5f417c8d.
I've already re-installed windows 98 and I
still get this error. What might you suggest ? Thank you !

module SHELL32.DLL...that's the message i get when i try to click on Properties with the right mouse button....what can i do?

While on bootup of windows98 is displaying "EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module SHELL32.DLL". When look at the Shell32.dll in dos I can see that the file is way to large as it reads in the millions. Can you tell me how I can get a replacement for this file?

what causes this? the only thing i can do to solve this problem is to reformat. is there anything i can do to avoid this?

mfc42.dll problems..
I have come across this several times...can not directly relate to the above, but I have found that installing/reinstalling Netscape 4.6 cures the problem

when I go to open MsPaint I get illegal page fault mfc42.dll at 015f:5f40ea88. I have reinstalled windows 98 and it dosent change the problem can you please help me.
