documents created in office 97 should be saved as word6/95 documents to be fully compatible with win95. If you are simply saving as word documents then you can expect to get these problems , or even pages full of heiroglyphics.

I've got the same problem (page fault within ole32.dll). Microsoft says it is a bug in ole32 and will be solved with DCOM1.3!

"Invalid Page Fault in ole32.dll" more or less every time I close Internet Explorer 5.5 running on Windows '95. I suspect one of MS's later office upgrade's common to all Windows OS. If anyone gets explicit fix, please post and e-mail.

I am having the same type of problem with the lexplore file. Once the warning comes up I can not get it to go away. It also prevents me from using control alt delete. The only solution is to hard stop or pull out the plug to stop the computer.

I see lots of similar problems with that file, but no solutions are posted. Can anyone help?

I've been having the "lexplore" problem for a while now. Until tonight, anyway. I read something on another board that mentioned that a background program running in the system tray might be the problem. About the time this issue began, my MSN Messenger began accosting me, imploring that I update to the latest version. So I suspected that program first, and tried closing out of it completely. No "lexplorer" problem after that. I uninstalled MSN Messenger completely, but would like to try reinstalling it since I use it to talk to family. Anybody else using this program? See if this helps and let me know.

I posted above saying that I thought MSN Messenger was the recurring problem, however, I was mistaken. The real problem turned out to be a recently downloaded McAfee Virus Scan upgrade. I'm going to try to reinstall it, but for now I've chosen to prevent it from loading at start-up. Even if you're not using this program, try fully exiting programs running in the system tray individually and see if the fault persists. Good luck!

It is much like the rerst I see listed, but the fault is in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bffc05bd. Although I am used to the illegal operations alert, this is the first time that I cannot get it off the screen. HELP!!!!!!
