Reply: (edit)Usually when an invalid page fault occurs the module has to be replaced, however explorer.exe is the "core" of windows so my best thought is install win again. But try this first: get this files from another person: explorer.exe, msqsrv32.exe,oleaut32.dll and a tool like regmaid or regclean that repairs Ole faults in windows registry.

Reply: (edit)Sorry Lynda, I mispelled the file name, it's msgsrv32.exe (with g). On the other hand, not sure where can you get regmaid, I just typed regmaid or try Registry Repair Tools on yahoo!, you can get regclean at microsoft's download site, type it in the download search.

Reply: (edit)I don't know if an old copy of your registry will still be available after reinstalling Windows, but maybe you should look, if you haven't already. From a command prompt only, type scanreg /restore and press Enter. If replacements show up, pick one with a date that precedes the problem. If that doesn't fix it, maybe you can at least get into safe mode.

Reply: (edit)I just had a problem with invalid page fault in module explorer.exe. The reason for this was a bunch of files that were too old for the new IExplorer. The link below will give you a series of steps to follow through to fix this problem. NOTE: you will need access to the internet on your computer... or installation files for your IE or later on either your harddrive or a CD to reinstall. Otherwise, you will have to find copy over the required files from a machine that has the lastest version of these files. To find out what files are missing, "Repair Internet Explorer" and click on "Details" when it can't repair. This will list the files that are either missing/corrupted or not new enough for the IE that's currently on your machine. Just follow the instructions below if blank screen to load up Windows with "progman.exe" instead of "explorer.exe"... then run "control appwiz.cpl". http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q225/0/40.ASP
