I recently added a new hard drive to my computer as a slave to my main drive. but whenever i save anything to this drive and reboot the computer, it tells me that it cannot read the hard drive because of invalid media type. any ideas?

When my Syquest removable drive is not spinning, I get invalid media type. When you try to access a drive that is more than 540 Megabytes from a 540 Megabyte BIOS you get invalid media type. That could be a lot of things including no format. You did not Format fat 32 and then try to access it from DOS did you?
