I get a blue screen everytime I start Win98 and I can't do anything. I run scandisk from DOS and it tells me that ScanDisk found an invalid long filename entry on drive and did not fix it. Then it says to run Windows Scandisk to fix. Well, I can't run win scandisk, cause I can't start windows. I typed scandisk at c prompt and ran it that way, but it says the same thing and I don't know what to do? Please help!

Maybe you can run scandisk for windows in SafeMode.

Is the name of the file identified anywhere in Scandisk ?
If yes, start in Safe Mode, and open Windows Explorer, and scroll to the file and delete it.

Krystyna,
I tried to e-mail you, but it didn't work.

The blue screen error I keep getting as Win98 loads is:

"A fatal exception OE has occured at 015F:BFF7F327"

I also have noticed that when the pc is booting through DOS, it says:

"Hard Disk 0 Installed WDC AC32500H"

I can't get Windows to start at all. Not even in Safe Mode. I run scandisk and it does not tell me the specific filename.
