Invalid long filename entry on drive???

I get a blue screen everytime I start Win98 and I can't do anything. I run scandisk from DOS and it tells me that ScanDisk found an invalid long filename entry on drive and did not fix it. Then it says to run Windows Scandisk to fix. Well, I can't run win scandisk, cause I can't start windows. I typed scandisk at c prompt and ran it that way, but it says the same thing and I don't know what to do? Please help!

Summary: thank you ham30! Unfortunely it came up with error messages too: "invalid long filename entry on drive c:" then it said: "bad sector 132927 will try to repair" and then it just hangs at 10% any ideas...
