My computer will not boot up. I tried my start up disk it reads it the everything stops at the "Press Space Bar to oot from Diskette" I pushed the space bar nothing happens. None of the keys respond. I finally got a prompt so I able to get the A and B prompt fot my floppies, but when I go for the C prompt it tells me Invalid Drive Specification. What do I do? I have tried changing the boot sequence n CMOS that fail.

Did you just install a new HD and the computer won't find it? If so, then you forgot to format it, which makes it readable. If the pc can't see the HD, or C: drive, it won't go past the A prompt because there isn't any HD to see.

I also get this error. I accidently deleted all files in drive c and now it will not come up at all. I can boot to drive a, but cannot go to a c prompt.

I re-formatted my HDD too. I have a 3½ Floppy, a 5¼ Floppy, a HDD and a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM itself has a problem...sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. When I boot from The 3½, I can access The 5¼, 3½, CD-ROM (but I can't read any CDs) but not the HDD, I get Invalid Drive Specification. When I switch the 5¼ to the primary drive and boot off it, I can access the HDD, 5¼ and some 3½s. Odd eh?? please help
