Internet won't work

OK, Somthing is really not right here. I have stright cable connection. It wont pick up the IP address. WINIPCFG says somthing about cant find DHCP. I tryed the same cable on my other computer worked fine. tried NIC card on other comp worked fine. please help

It's not a hardware problem. The software either is not asking for an address properly or the DHCP server is not sending the address.

Are you sure your IP configuration is set up correctly? Sounds to me as if it's not.

Either your network card is not fully installed (drivers?) or windows does not know where to look for the internet. Try running the internet connection wizard.
