Internet Explorer won't stay open!

I've got a problem that affects Internet Explorer 5.5, Netscape Navigator and MSN Messenger. Whenever I open them when I'm connected to the Internet, they automatically close like 1 second after I've opened them. IE 5.5 just closes before it can load www.msn.com. Same goes for Netscape Navigator and MSN Messenger just closes if I try to logon. Please help me!

When any of your browsers shuts down, does Windows display any error messages? Is your virus check up to date? Did you check for spywares using Spybot, and Adaware? What will happen, if you change your home page to "blank"?
