Running IEv6.0 w/win98. Installed a linksys router, changed some of the network settings, and now IE won't connect. My other browser, mozilla firebird, works just fine. would like to have IE functionable to have automatic access at Windows update.
Ran ScanReg, changed settings back to Saturday when everything was ok, still no luck.
Also, have XP box is connected to router as well, and both browsers function properly.

Try....
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options > "Connections" tab > click "Setup" and go through the Wizard selecting the appropriate options.
Also, are you using DHCP on your router? If so, you need to configure TCP/IP to have a dynamic IP. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network > Select "TCP/IP" for your network card > click "Properties" > select "Obtain an IP Address Automatically". Click OK -- you'll have to reboot.
Also check your router settings to see if you're blocking certain IP's or MAC addresses.
