Comment - Internet Explorer is the worst browser that I have ever seen, continual problems, patches, lock-up, I view posts with the difficulties with IE, geez why doesn't Microsoft know how to program a better browser, anything better than IE let me know and I will use another browser, I have had it with Int Exp. Thanks

Not that I am a big fan of MS products I will say this, I am on a machine running Win98se with IE6, all SPacks installed. I can't remember the last time I had trouble with a lockup while using IE. You may have other issues that are affecting the machine.

Like OtheHill I've not had any real problems with IE, which I've used ever since 1995. Because of its wide use it obviously is the most attacked browser, which is one reason that there are frequent patches. The fact that IE is integrated with Windows obviously can lead to unique problems.
Many good reports about Firefox as a browser so there could be benefits in switching to it. It is not integrated with Windows and is a stand-alone program. It will run alongside IE.
IE can most certainly be tamed though. It just takes a little patience.
