Comment:

I recently re-installed windows. My default browser is ie4.0. I am trying to upgrade back to ie6. Everytime I go to download it tells me that a previous installation is pending work requiring a reboot. Also when I try to get into outlook express, it says MSOE.DLL could not be loaded. Please Help.

It's been a while since I used IE4 and I don't recall whether it has a repair feature. You can try going to Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs. Select Microsoft Internet Explorer and click the Add/Remove button. Next panel, click the "Repair Internet Explorer" and OK.

Failing that, you could do an overinstall of the OS. You may have gotten a corrupt install the first time.

Good Luck - Ray

Maybe you should upgrade to 5 first, before going to 6. Or, download and install Netscape and/or Opera. Good luck.
