Comment: When trying to launch Internet Explorer 5 I get an "illegal operation" error, details as follows: IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module SHELL32.DLL at 017f:7fcb1946. Registers: EAX=000087b2 CS=017f EIP=7fcb1946 EFLGS=00010202 EBX=00000000 SS=0187 ESP=00588f2c EBP=00588f68 ECX=000087b0 DS=0187 ESI=004287dc FS=0e3f EDX=00430f8c ES=0187 EDI=7fcb22ee GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 66 8b 0a 66 85 c9 75 f1 c2 04 00 ff 74 24 04 ff Stack dump 7fcb294c 004287dc 7fcb22ee 00429c80 71052ddc 004287dc 710a201b 004287dc 00588f78 00588fe8 bff77454 71052340 00588f60 0042b1d0 00000000 00588ff4 I am running Netscape Communicator also. I have tried reinstalling IE to no avail.
I have received advice from Toshiba support bulletin to uncheck "launch browser in separate proccess" option in adanced internet settings but this choice does not appear when I click the advanced tab in the Internet settings. Thanks in advance.

Reply: (edit)Could someone respond as to whether or not the registry "Fix" above worked? AM reluctant to go into registry without further confirmation. Getting illegal operations errors (I.E.) at weird times, like while scrolling on a webpage. I've tried to use my "Go back" utility (ConfiSafe 3.0.x) but eventually the error resurfaces.
